Hello, Readers and Subscribers!
Here's what has changed. As you can see or you might recall by glancing at some of my former posts, my messages were directed toward the mature woman who sought to improve and maintain her personal health holistically. That direction has shifted somewhat, but those posts did reveal an approach that met readers where they were, building camaraderie.
My focus is now on writing for and speaking to women's health businesses who also want to build stronger and more authentic relationships with their patients and clients.
I chose the blog name "Etching the Stethoscope" as an indicator that I would be writing, or inscribing, words about who you are as a caring person owning or working as a professional in a women's health business, not just a busy and eminently qualified health provider or instructor with the proper skills and resources.
Patients will benefit from remembering that you are people, too.
Today's challenges, as you are well aware, include multiple health crises compounded by significant funding cuts, staffing shortages, changed policies, insurance cost overruns, and a flood of misinformation spread through social media that threatens to erode trust and impede medical progress.
But as a writer, I am determined to assist you in disseminating facts and empathetically nurturing those you serve. Sometimes I will share stories and invite your input, other times I will share updates, and always I'll act as an encouraging collaborator in the fight for public health.
